Future is bright for Haigh & Hastings

Australian lifestyle brand Haigh & Hastings has plenty to be excited about as it looks towards the future.

After Simon Haigh and Matt Sears founded the brand in 2013, it has gone from strength to strength Down Under, where its collaborations with sporting and military ambassadors have gone down well. Plus the recent appointment of former Rolex, Fossil and Audemars Piguet Swiss designer, Emmanuel Gueit, has given the watches the sort of credibility that belies the brand’s relative youth.

It’s now making significant international strides, including with distributors in the Middle East and US, and with advanced retail discussions in China. Here in the UK it has collaborated with ex-Fossil Group UK managing director, Giles Bushby.

WatchPro reported on the mutual sales partnership between Bushby’s GB&RS distribution company and Haigh & Hastings last month, and the collaboration has already born fruit. UK prestige retailer Emson Haigh will be stocking Haigh & Hastings, along with Sheffield-based Green & Benz, Norwich’s Dipples, Cuff & Co of York, and online with House of Fraser and Watch O. Meanwhile David Murph jewellers of Perth will take on Bushby’s Minster1949 brand.

Haigh gave WatchPro a teaser about the brand’s plans and vision for the future here in the UK: “We are looking for UK sporting, lifestyle and adventure affiliations and high level discussions are progressing well. We are now established in the UK and would ultimately like to open a flagship store in the UK to complement our growing online sales at www.haighandhastings.com.”
