Fellows Auctioneers is hosting a free webinar to talk about military watches, and particularly a full set of extremely rare Dirty Dozen timepieces up for auction on August 24.
The webinar is hosted by Simon de Burton, watch expert and journalist best known for his work with the Financial Times.
The Dirty Dozen is a name given to timepieces made by twelve different manufacturers for the British Air Force and the Royal Navy during World War II.
The almost identical watches were designed and delivered in 1944 and 1945 and have become passion projects for collectors that want to own all twelve.
It is rare for a full set of 12 to come to auction, which is what Fellows has achieved for its Luxury Watch Sale in August.
The estimate for the set of 12 is £25,000 and £35,000.
Fellows says the watches are all in a good condition and working. They were acquired one-by-one by their owner over the period of a few years.
