Fresh faces at Ferragamo

Salvatore Ferragamo unveiled Maximilian Davis as the maison’s new creative director in March, just a few months after appointing Marco Gobbetti as CEO.

Mr Davis is a London-based designer who rose to prominence at a young age with his eponymous fashion brand, launched in 2020, and quickly making his mark as one of the most exciting London designers to watch, and already worn by many A-Listers.

Ferragamo watches are made under license by Timex Group Luxury Division, and will pick up design cues from Mr Davis as he imposes his vision on the Italian luxury fashion empire. Mr Davis’s work is elegant, refined, sensual, and committed to quality, the company says.

“I am deeply honored to be joining Ferragamo, and grateful for the opportunity to build on the rich and profound heritage of the house,” Mr Davis said. “Ferragamo represents a dedication to timeless elegance and sophistication that I find incredibly inspiring. I’m looking forward to articulating my vision.”

This announcement of Mr Davis’s appointment coincided  with the release of the brand’s newest timepieces for the Spring/Summer collection. The sophisticated yet sporty timekeepers follow the brand in their proud heritage, while adding a modern flare already consistent with the new direction.

The new Ferragamo Ferragamo watch (pictured top) is an elegant, modern sports watch. It comes in a round, bold case that reflects the latest trends and is enhanced by a rubber top ring with Ferragamo lettering and the iconic double Gancini symbol. The sunray dial and luminous indexes make this watch sophisticated yet contemporary. The orange hand gives it a modern, refined look.

Ferragamo watches are sold and distributed by Madaluxe, which will welcome the return of the successful Vega collection this season.

2022 watches retain the geometric shapes enhanced in a new, sport-luxury version.

As a unique feature, the new Vega Chrono becomes a chronograph with roman numbers, indexes, and the iconic double Gancini symbol at 8 o’clock.

With such great attention to detail, this sophisticated timepiece is enriched further by the Ferragamo lettering on the top ring. Both new additions are available in both rubber strap and bracelet versions.
