Frederique expands its Highlife Perpetual Calendar family

The watch, a descendant of the original Highlife launched 20 years’ ago, has been given a blue-grey dial inspired by the seas, skies and space.

Frederique Constant has kicked off 2022 with a commitment to its highest horological achievement, the Highlife Perpetual Calendar.

The watch, a descendant of the original Highlife launched 20 years’ ago, has been given a blue-grey dial inspired by the seas, skies and space and, according to the company. “A colour that captures the fleeting moment between dusk and dawn,” it adds.

Frederique Constant keeps the dial as readable as possible with white type and white luminescent hands and hour markers so that the month, week, day and moonphase indicators are bright and crisp.

The latest Highlife Perpetual Calendar will hit retail in June with the same 41mm size as its predecessors.

This time the case and bracelet are made from brushed and polished stainless steel and it will arrive with a price of $9,950 (around £8,500), a remarkable tag for a grand complication watch with a manufacture movement — the FC-775 automatic calibre displayed through a crystal case back.

The bracelet looks fully integrated to the case, but is in fact interchangeable for a sporty rubber strap, which is included with the package.
