Franck Muller has launched its Tourbillon Thunderbolt timepiece at its luxury watch and jewellery forum in Monaco, said to be the fastest ever tourbillion ever created, rotating every five seconds.
The new tourbillion’s revolution is thought to be 12 times faster than any other tourbillion complication available on the market. The timepiece features a “thunderbolt” tourbillon that the brand dubs “as technical as it is spectacular”.
Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli was in attendance, with the brand revealing it has been working with Cavalli to create the collaborative Roberto Cavalli by Franck Muller collection, giving guests a sneak peek of the range.
Franck Muller group held the forum earlier this month, between October 8 to 10. It was the group’s fourth salon, dubbed the World Premiere of Haute Horlogerie and Jewellery (WPHH), and featured Franck Muller and the group’s nine other brands, including Pierre Kunz, ECW, Rodolphe, Backes & Strauss and Smalto Timepieces.
More than 1,200 guests attended the three-day long forum, with two evening events including a beach party at the Meridian Hotel and a gala dinner for 500 invite-only guests.
