Franck Dubarry limits latest reference to an offering of just five

Retailing at £7,950, each piece is made to order and delivery time is in the region of 4 – 8 weeks.

Not known for exclusive limitations, Franck Dubarry is bucking its own trend with its latest reference, offering only five models.

Offering a completely different hour and minute display, provided by the Calibre FD01, the Crazy Wheel is named after the built-in sub counter which revolves around the dial.

Housed in the familiar 43mm x 50mm grade 5 titanium case with black PVD Coating, the bezel and crown guards are made of forged carbon.

Moving inwards, the dial is made up of multiple layers; mainly in black, but with white markings and some pops of silver while the red crazy wheel indicates the hour.

The date wheel is part openworked on both left and right hand sides, with a small magnifier at 3 o’clock which indicates the current date.

A 360° rotating module, developed with master watchmaker Dominique Renaud, is described by the brand as the star of the show.

A single straight lug at top and bottom, where each strap connects to the case, has been specially designed to curve downwards for an ergonomic feel while the Elastogator strap combined with a folding titanium deployment buckle secures to the wrist.

The case back is solid PVD coated titanium, with various engravings, including the brand’s name, Limited Edition, the reference number and limited edition number.

Retailing at £7,950 and available from About Timepieces, each piece is made to order and delivery time is in the region of 4 – 8 weeks.
