Forsey celebrates 10th Anniversary at Marcus

British watchmaker Stephen Forsey may have left the UK for Switzerland more than 20 year ago but he returned to the UK last week to celebrate the ten years of Greubel Forsey.

The Hackney-trained St Albans haute horologist visited Marcus on Bond Street to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the founding of his partnership with Robert Greubel, which has resulted in some of the most deftly engineered complicated watches in the world.

Forsey explained to the audience of invited guests that the company was founded as a technical exercise to explore what was possible through micro-engineering with a list of ten years worth of ideas. Forsey explained that now, ten years later, that list still has another ten or 15 years worth of ideas.

Together with Greubel Forsey’s external movement development company Complitime, the La Chaux-de-Fonds enterprise now employs 115 people.
