Walpole British Luxury, the not-for-profit organisation representing British luxury brands, has named Michelle Emmerson as managing director.
Emmerson joins Walpole British Luxury from online retailer Asos where she was group services and people director.
Prior to Asos, Emmerson held various board level and senior roles at BBC Worldwide and EMI Music. She has also worked with British Phonographic Industry (BPI), the trade association for the UK Music Industry and The Official Charts Company.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Michelle as managing director; she is a valuable addition to the Walpole British Luxury team,” said Walpole British Luxury chairman Ben Hughes.
“The board and I look forward to drawing on Michelle’s experience and expertise in driving Walpole to its next stage of growth.
Jewellery brands Annoushka, Astley Clarke, Links of London, Boodles, Kiki McDonough and Shaun Leane are among the brands supported by Walpole, aiding them with brand promotion, business development, thought leadership and mentoring.
