Folli Follie Group runs Links of London into administration … then buys it back

The firm said the purchase will allow the FF Group to re-establish the Links of London business, “an important part of its restructuring plan”, free of previous liabilities.

Folli Follie Group has acquired the brand and intellectual property of Links of London from its administrator, despite being its owner when it was run into the ground.

Links of London plunged into administration in October and was later forced to close all of its UK doors after failing to find a buyer to save the business.

Now, its Greek owners, Folli Follie, have acquired the intellectual property and related materials to the Links of London brand from the administrator, “securing the continued trading of the Links of London brand in Greece and worldwide”.

The firm said the purchase will allow the FF Group to re-establish the Links of London business, “an important part of its restructuring plan”, free of previous liabilities.

This purchase was financed substantially by the write-off of a portion of inter-company debt owed by Links of London to the FF Group.

Folli Follie aims to consolidate and redevelop the British jewellery and watch brand Links of London worldwide.
