The Company of Master Jewellers (CMJ) has welcomed five new watch retailers to its buying group. The five companies collectively operate 10 stores across the UK.
The new members are Faith Jewellers in Northern Ireland, Niche Jewellers in Leigh-on-Sea, Quality Jewellers in Barnet, T&H Sinclair in Inverurie, and Mococo in the North West, which has stores in Chester, Wrexham, Liverpool, Ruthin and Mold.
Faith Jewellers director Rodney Simmons said: “This will open the door to social networking with fellow associates and suppliers. I feel this will help me gain valuable experience and develop long-term relationships in the industry with key suppliers."
CMJ chief executive Willie Hamilton said: “A big drive for the CMJ for this year and for 2014 is to bring in new members to the group, who can benefit greatly from the support that belonging to the CMJ can provide to any business, big or small.
“Over the past five years, the CMJ has grown in size and influence throughout the UK, Ireland and beyond. We are looking to build on these solid foundations, to continue to bring in forward-thinking, quality independent retailers together with the right mix of approved suppliers, in order to further support and help the jewellery and watch industry.”
