Fifth time in a row for Ingersoll as sponsor of WatchPro Awards

It is the fifth consecutive time that the brand has sponsored the event.

American watch brand Ingersoll, which is owned by Zeon, is sponsoring the WatchPro Awards for the fifth consecutive time.

The brand views the WatchPro Awards as an important night for the British watch industry to meet and celebrate its achievements.

“What makes the watch industry so great to work in is the friendships, said Simon Gilham, managing director of Zeon. Rather than seeing people as colleagues, customers and competitors, we really see it as friendships that are formed within a common business environment.”

The 2021 WatchPro Awards, which take place on 11 November, will be held again at 8 Northumberland, the largest Victorian ballroom in London, where up to 300 industry executives will be in attendance.

Ingersoll and Zeon are building on a successful year, which saw profits and revenue increase despite government lock down measures.

“The brand strategy we were already in the process of implementing stood us in good stead,” Mr Gilham explains. “We placed a real focus on the brand story, product and quality customer service. We also had a very advanced direct to consumer engagement which helped us accelerate our sales as everyone switched to digital direct selling in the face of a completely closed physical retail environment.”

On sponsoring the Best New Store of the Year category, Mr Gilham said: “It’s great that even in these changing and challenging times that people have the vision to create new businesses and open new stores.”
