The starting pistol for the Tour de Yorkshire cycle race will be fired on May 1, with a field of the world’s best riders competing alongside a family-oriented three-day festival of sport.
Festina watches, best known by the public for its association with the Tour de France, is also the official timekeeper for the Yorkshire event.
The brand, which is distributed by Unique Jewelry in the UK, will enjoy a considerable boost to its profile thanks to live television coverage of the Tour de Yorkshire on ITV, along with news and sport coverage from all UK newspapers and broadcasters.
“This will help to promote the Frestina brand even further here in the UK,” said Unique Jewelry owner Daniel Ozel.
To mark the start of the European race season Festina has released an updated Chrono Bike collection, a sporty line of chronographs combining stainless steel and black rubber.
