Fendi launches new line of Crazy Carats timepieces

Luxury fashion brand Fendi has released a new set of timepieces in its Crazy Carats collection, adding indigo, black and white alligator straps as a follow-up to the launch of the collection two years ago.

The new leather straps were described as "on-trend colourways" by the brand, with retail prices upwards of £1,900.

The watches house mechanical complications as well as a patented technical gear that enables the wearer to quickly change the colors of the gemstone markers on the dial.

The brand said: "Following the success of the Crazy Carats collection, the Precious Pave Crazy Carats timepieces were revealed last year. With a clear understanding and anticipation of color styles and trends, Fendi has added to the collection by combining the diamond pave timepieces with magnificent crocodile straps for a truly opulent timepiece."

Each of the Crazy Carats timepieces features a pave diamond center dial and has three different gemstone color choices. A single stationary diamond is set at 12:00 while, for the other 11 hour markers, the rolling stone satellite system can be used, allowing the wearer to switch to pink or blue gemstones.

The watches were dreamed up by Silvia Venturini for Fendi, who created "a three-piece watch wardrobe in one". The Swiss made timepieces feature high-polished dials and transparent sapphire crystals and casebacks for viewing the changing of the gemstones.

Each watch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet), backed by a two-year warranty and all a registered with thier own serial numbers engraved on the case back. They take between three and four months to make each watch.
