Female golfer Belen Mozo latest AP ambassador

Audemars Piguet has announced LPGA golfer Belen Mozo as its latest brand ambassador, with Mozo becoming part of a wider line-up of AP golfing ambassadors that includes Rory McIlroy, Ian Poulter and Cristie Kerr.

Audemars said its “exclusive values such as integrity, passion, inspiration, respect and sophistication” are shared by Mozo, who first began playing golf aged eight.

Mozo said: “I’m honoured and excited to join a team of the world’s best golfers and athletes and the Audemars Piguet family.”

She will be the face of its Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore pieces.

She was born in Spain and has become a world-wide golfing champion, graduating from the University of Southern California and becoming a four-time NCAA All-American champion. Mozo was the first player since 1972 to win both the Women’s British Amateur Championship and British Girls Amateur Championship the same year.

In 2010, at the age of 21, Mozo started her professional career at the US Women’s Open, and soon thereafter tied for eighth at the LPGA Final Qualifying, earning her spot on the LPGA tour.
