Fellows London viewing a roaring success

Fellows Auctioneers have hailed their first ever London viewing a success after spending two days in Mayfair.

The Birmingham auction house brought the watch lots from its June 30th Watch Sale, now a monthly feature in the company’s calendar, to 42 Berkeley Square on Sunday 14 and Monday 15 and described the event as a ‘roaring success’.

Jewellery from Friday’s Antique and Modern Jewellery sale were on show in a separate room.

The event was attended by existing customers, members of the national press and also attracted new, potential customers with visitors leaving commission bids.

With over 1,000 lots on show, visitors got the chance to view pieces up close and pose questions to the host of experts from Fellows who were present.

Watches from Roger Dubuis (lot 237, £4,000-6,000) and Backes & Strauss (lot 371, £8,000-12,000) proved to be popular talking points.

Fellows’ monthly watch sale at its Birmingham salesroom means the auction house holds more specialist watch sales than any other retailer. It also keeps an office in Mayfair to service the London area with free valuations by appointment only.

The lots on show in Mayfair this week will go under the hammer at The Watch Sale in Birmingham on June 30th at 11am. The full catalogue can be viewed at www.fellows.co.uk.
