F.P. Journe is using its pre-SIHH publicity to showcase a modern family of Élégante timepieces that have flat tortue cases with a turquoise ceramic insert framing a white dial.

The shape, named after the shape of a tortoise shell segment, is uncommon and striking.
Equally unusual for F.P. Journe is the use of an electro mechanical movement that keeps time for up to ten years.
The watch goes into standby mode once it has been motionless for 30 minutes, after which a micro-processor continues to keep time.
As soon as it moves again, the movement returns the watch to the correct time by the shortest route — with the hands moving clockwise or anti-clockwise.
