It has been 20 years since Anonimo was founded, and the company is celebrating the anniversary with a reissue of its vintage Militare collection.
The 2017 version offers the same functions and looks, but adds a dash of modernity and a sospetto of Italian refinement, the brand says. The fashionable cushion-shaped case and dial carry the Anonimo signature 12, 04 and 08 o’clock triangle.
One of the only alterations to the dial’s original design from 1997 is the addition of the world Vintage at 9 o’clock. The colour is also slightly changed to an egg shell hue.
The case design is different, with the crown moved from 6 o’clock, its original position, to the top of the watch that Anonimo fans are more familiar with today. The company now makes its watches in Switzerland, so the old Handcrafted in Firenze mark has been updated to Swiss Made.
The 43mm case houses a Sellita SW260-1 automatic winding movement, which is visible through a sapphire case back. Recommended retail price for the watch will be £2065.
The brand is solely distributed by Page & Cooper in the UK and is listed with CW Sellors (Jura Watches), one of the country’s leading supporters of independent watch brands.
