Emile Chouriet sees red for latest model in its Challenger Deep dive watch family

The watch has a graduated dial that draws the eye to a dark red centre that fades to black towards its black ceramic bezel.

Standing out in the increasingly crowded sports watch market is not easy, but independent watchmaker Emile Chouriet has come up with a visually striking style for its latest Challenger Deep model.

The watch has a graduated dial that draws the eye to a dark red centre that fades to black towards its black ceramic bezel.

Red was selected by studying colourful coral reefs, the company says, a natural habitat for the 300 metre water resistant watch that can be worn on a diver’s rubber strap or man about the office steel bracelet.

It houses an Emile Chouriet modified ETA 2825 automatic movement (Calibre EC9316) in a 42.5mm stainless steel case.

The version with a rubber strap costs £1,310 while the steel bracelet model goes for £1,380.

Emile Chouriet is distributed by Mode 9 in the UK, and is already stocked by Watch Shop, The Watch Hut and D.C. Leake Jewellers.
