Elliot Brown took a group of its UK retailers on a sailing day yesterday in order to demonstrate its rugged watches in their natural environment.
The brand’s partners took to the waters of the Solent, off Portsmouth harbour, in Clipper round the world racing yachts.
Elliot Brown has been the official timekeeper of the Clipper Round the World race since 2015.
In the 2015-15 race, which took almost a year to complete, an Elliot Brown Bloxworth timepiece survived a 40,000 nautical mile battering mounted on the mast of a Clipper as it circumnavigated the globe.
Conditions were a little less testing for Elliot Brown’s retail partners yesterday, who endured little more than drizzle and light winds.
