Elliot brown webbing straps

Elliot Brown makes woven straps using historic loom named Dolly

The 22mm wide straps are woven on a shuttle loom nicknamed Dolly by Bowmer Bond, a 225-year-old family business based at a historic waterside mill in Ashbourne.

British watch business Elliot Brown has unveiled a range of webbing straps that took three years’ of research and development to bring to market.

The 22mm wide straps are woven on a shuttle loom nicknamed Dolly by Bowmer Bond, a 225-year-old family business based at a historic waterside mill in Ashbourne.

Dolly might be ancient but the fabric for the straps is thoroughly modern. It has a lifetime-long antibacterial treatment; it is hypoallergenic, breathable and fast drying.

Elliot Brown watches are designed to be virtually indestructible, and the straps will also survive the most extreme conditions above or below water.

“After several years in development, we have tested and abused these straps with zero failures to reach the conclusion that they are as robust, strong and comfortable as our watches. It’s the ultimate in strap performance. We literally could not make them more fit for purpose and it’s good knowing you’re wearing a piece of British manufacturing heritage,” says Ian Elliot, joint founder of Elliot Brown Watches.

They come in ten colourways with three different buckle finishes, all configurable online at Elliot Brown’s website for £40.
