Elliot Brown introduces its first ever mechanical timepiece

British watchmaker Elliot Brown has unveiled its first mechanical timepiece.

The Tyneham continues the brand’s mission to create robust and highly durable timepieces for gentlemen, but has a Miyota 9130 automatic movement at its heart.

The 41mm case is made from solid marine grade brushed stainless steel with a scratch resistant, ultra tough case-hardened bezel with recessed 2mm anti reflective sapphire crystal.

Maintaining the Elliot Brown reputation for creating the toughest timepieces on the market has meant engineering in a dual stage 360 shock absorption system to protect the movement.

The Tyneham also has a triple-sealed crown to keep the watch water-tight.

There are five different models in the collection including a limited edition with a sapphire caseback replacing the normal steel one so that the movement can be viewed.

The watches will sell for £795 with steel back, £845 with the sapphire display back. They are selling into retail now and are expected to go on sale to the public at the end of October.

Key features:

  • Miyota 9130 movement with hack and hand-wind
  • Two-stage 360 movement shock absorption system
  • Tested in water at 300m
  • 40h Power reserve indicator at 1h
  • Case hardened, scratch proof bezel
  • Triple sealed crown with parallel hobnail knurling
  • Single sided screw-in strap bars for easy strap changes
