British watch business Elliot Brown will launch two new Royal National Lifeboat Institution special edition timepieces at this year’s International Jewellery London from September 1 to 3.
The brand is participating in a new Watch District that is designed to increase the participation of watch businesses in the show.
Elliot Brown’s RNLI watches have been designed in collaboration with the institution. For each of the watches sold, a donation of £35 will be made to the emergency service.
The special edition RNLI Canford and Kimmeridge watches both feature a watch face influenced by the Lifeboat colours along with white and blue 12 hour markers; a reference to the white and blue boat hooks still carried by every life boat since the beginning of the service.
Case backs feature the original RNLI anchor and the words of Sir William Hillary; “With courage nothing is impossible”.
Elliot Brown co-founder, Ian Elliot, says: “As watersports enthusiasts and makers of some of the world’s most durable watches, our collaboration with the RNLI feels both natural and appropriate. Our strong connections with emergency services and specialist military units create credible brand stories that are truly exciting for consumers in today’s tech-heavy, fashion accessory environments. Elliot Brown’s recipe is simple and unique: incredible build quality, unique brand story and the best back-up in the business.”
Both the Canford for men and Kimmeridge for women watch collections use Swiss-made quartz movements.
