Elie takes over from father as Raymond Weil CEO

Raymond Weil announced yesterday that the eponymous brand founder’s grandson, Elie Berheim, had taken over as the company’s chief executive officer.

Berheim takes over from his father, Olivier Bernheim, and marks the third generation of the family at the head of the Swiss watchmaking company. He joined the company in 2006 after graduating from the Hospitality Management School of Lausanne and brings to the role expertise in watchmaking, marketing and company management.

In recent years Bernheim has been in charge of developing and optimizing global strategy for Raymond Weil and he will remain the head of the company’s marketing department.

Olivier Bernheim joined the family company, which was founded in 1976, in 1982. He became the chief executive officer of Raymond Weil in 1996 and will remain president of the board of directors and company consultant.
