Belgian watch brand Emboss has completely stopped manufacturing its straps from leather.
The company promotes itself as environmentally-friendly, but was until now happy to offer leather straps on the basis that they are a bi-product of the food industry, and create little environmental impact because they last so long.
That will change in the next collection, the company confirmed today, with only natural rubber or recycled materials finding their way into new models’ straps.
Emboss was spotted in Israel this week working on its promotional photo shoot that appears to highlight the brand’s back to nature approach to watch making.
