Eberhard co. 1887 21028

Eberhard & Co reminds the world of its 1887 birth year

Swiss watchmaker uses a new hand wound movement made in its home village of Chaux-de-Fonds in a fresh collection.

Eberhard & Co is a brand to watch as the historic Swiss watchmaker, which can trace its history back to La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1887, invests in broadening its manufacturing expertise and output.

It is also highlighting its heritage with the opening of a museum in the village presenting timepieces from down the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries.

The timing is good for the launch of a new calibre, the hand wound EB140, produced for Eberhard in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and launching it in a new watch named the Eberhard 1887 with a clear case back displaying the movement.

1887 is a 41.8mm steel watch produced with either gold or rhodium-plated numbers and indices on a white clou de Paris dial.

The logo on the dial is part of the historical heritage and is documented in the archives of the early 1900s.

It is sold on a range of straps, including a fabric-faced version made in partnership with Italian tie maker Ulturale.
