Sticking tightly to its timeless aesthetic based on the design of the Swiss Railway Clock does not mean that Mondaine cannot move with the times.
The watchmaker is proving the point this year with an update to its SBB Classic collection featuring fresh watch straps in cerise, sky blue and canary yellow.
The leather straps have also been perforated with rows of holes, providing another point of difference without abandoning the iconic brand markers of Mondaine.
The watches have matte brushed steel cases, a matte silver dial in 40mm and 30mm cases.
The 40mm watch is selling for around £180.
