DMR re-opens its extended and refurbished flagship showroom in Manchester

The business, which has been in central Manchester since 1979, bought a property next door to its original site, and has used the additional space to create an open, contemporary space over two floors.

David M Robinson (DMR) has fully re-opened its extended and refurbished flagship showroom on St Ann’s Square in Manchester.

The business, which has been in central Manchester since 1979, bought a property next door to its original site, and has used the additional space to create an open, contemporary space over two floors.

A lower ground floor is reached by a statement stone staircase under a specially commissioned lighting installation by designer Tom Dixon.

DMR has devoted additional space for shop in shops for Rolex, Tudor and IWC on the ground floor. On the lower ground floor, there is an additional Rolex space for private consultations called The Lounge, which is overlooked by the showroom’s watchmakers’ workshop.

The Lounge has its own horology library and bar area, and is designed to be used for events and lunches.

“The opening of our new showroom in Manchester is the perfect way in which to celebrate 50 years of DMR. Focusing on creating a space that provides the luxury experiences expected by our clients, the showroom introduces our friends to the story of DMR, told in a truly modern environment,” says John Robinson, managing director of DMR.
