Dipples Jewellers brings Baume & Mercier on board as offering expands

The move sees the Norfolk jeweller continue to go from strength to strength and start 2022 on the front foot, in what could be another exceptional year for the business.

Dipples Jewellers has added Swiss-based luxury watch brand Baume & Mercier to its portfolio.

The move sees the Norfolk jeweller continue to go from strength to strength and start 2022 on the front foot, in what could be another exceptional year for the business.

2021 saw it survive COVID in the early part and grow out of the early winter lockdown with a point to prove.

The Christmas period, as for all retailers was important for Dipples, and it excelled.

This was met with more good business in what was a busy first month of the year which looks only set to continue.

Bringing the Richemont brand on board adds another feather to the Dipples cap and offers a brief insight into how the business plans on growing and developing in the months and years to come.

As reported by WatchPro in November, Dipples knows that relationships are key to good business, something which looks set to be central to the Baume & Mercier partnership too.

Commenting on the news, managing director of Dipples Jewellers, Chris Ellis, said: “It’s really fantastic to be working with Baume & Mercier. It is a brand we dealt with over 25 years ago so to have them in the showrooms again will be a real pleasure for not only ourselves and existing customers but for the wider area.”

He concluded: “We still actually have quite a few customers who come in with repairs on products they bought that long ago, so to have the brand back in-store will be a shoe in as myself and the team are all so familiar with the watches.”
