Deep blue dials continue to enchant at H. Moser & Cie

H. Moser & Cie’s sneak preview of its 2018 collection shows it has lost no enthusiasm for its iconic blue dials.

The company will introduce its Essence of the Tourbillion timepiece, limited to just 20 pieces, at SIHH, sicking with with what it describes as a “Funky Blue dial” for the watch.

The 42mm watch is free of any markers for hours or minutes, making the skeletonised flying tourbillion at 6 o’clock the undisputed star.

The deep blue dial is housed in an 18ct white gold case engraved with the unique serial number of the 20 piece limited edition.
The H. Moser & Cie Manufacture has developed more than 10 calibres over the last 10 years. Behind the skeleton bridge of the Moser minute tourbillon, the latest movement – the HMC 804 automatic calibre with three-day power reserve – can be seen beating.

Powering this movement, the oscillating weight transfers the energy to the barrel via a bi-directional pawl winding system that reduces the time required to fully wind the watch.

Made from 18ct solid red gold, the oscillating weight is skeletonised to reveal the mechanism beneath.
