The husband and wife team behind a Swiss watch brand that pioneered the online personalisation of watches has secured Harrods as its first UK retailer.
A selection of limited edition Brüggler chronographs, which are produced in single-figure runs to maintain exclusivity, are now on sale in the Fine Watch Room of the famed Knightsbridge department store.
Customers can also order ‘Swiss Made to Measure’ pieces by personalising 14 different elements of the design which are then assembled and delivered within six weeks. Michael and Katarina Brüggler launched their eponymous company last year and selected WatchPro as the first publication in the world to show their watch/website concept to.
Their website allows for complete customisation of the standard 40mm chronograph watch which, once complete, is hand-assembled by a Swiss watch company in Les Breuleux and delivered within six weeks. The watches range in price from £2,900-£8,700.
Since Brüggler launched last year, personalisation has become a trend that an increasing number of luxury brands are moving towards with Jaeger-LeCoultre recently launching its similar Atelier Reverso system at its Bond Street boutique.
