Watch brand W. T. Author has launched with its No. 1905 collection. The brand is actively using crowd funding for part of the manufacture and as a promotional tool.
The watches have a Swiss movement and are hand-finished in Britain and the brand plans to release 13 watch designs over a period of 13 years and the watches are currently available worldwide through crowd funding platform indiegogo.com.
Once the funding period has finished, the watches will also be available on the W. T. Website and the brand will be actively seeking UK retailers to stock our product.
The No. 1905 wristwatch, with an RRP of £350, is the debut timepiece and is available in four colours and limited to 125 first edition pieces.
The stainless steel case houses a Swiss-made 513S calibre movement and a signature red crown embossed with a trademark. It also features an enamel screw-down case back and hand made leather strap with a stainless steel roller buckle.
A spokesperson for the brand said: "W. T. Author represents the history of modern time telling producing first edition, Swiss movement watches that are hand-finished in Britain. No. 1905 is the first of 13 designs to be released over 13 years, a retrospective that will span decades of design."
Every watch comes with a limited edition screen print and book telling the story of W. T. Author.
