Corum has unveiled a new timepiece in its Bridges collection, the Ti-Bridge Automatic Dual Winder, a watch said to herald a new chapter in its watchmaking history.
The Ti-Bridge’s patented dual winder system has been designed, developed and patented by Corum and derives its energy from two interconnected inline oscillating weights. The Ti-Bridge also houses a new manufacture movement, the CO 207, and a new titanium case.
Corum’s watchmakers have maintained the linear design of the Bridge collection, while the patented Corum Dual Winder system features two inline-mounted circular oscillating weights, interconnected via a transmission arbour that makes them move in parallel, whatever the rotation direction.
At nine o’clock sits an integrated stacked mechanism featuring a ball bearing device and two unidirectional ball bearings clutches, all made in ceramic, voiding the need for lubrication, meaning the winding is efficient in both directions. The CO 207 movement is then held in the centre of the case by four titanium cross-bars, akin to other Bridge models.
The Ti-Bridge Automatic Dual Winder is available in a 200-piece limited production in grade 5 titanium, but is also available in an 18ct red gold 25-piece limited series.
