Clerc diver mounts central second and minute hands

Swiss watch brand Clerc has released a steel and carbon composite-cased chronograph that marks the passage of time with centrally mounted second and minute chrono hands.

The Clerc Hydroscaph H140 Carbon Limited Edition Chronograph is the brainchild of Gérald Clerc, fourth generation of the eponymous founding family. The watch also celebrates 140 years since the establishment of the company in Geneva in 1874.

Water-resistant to 500m thanks to its DLC-treated steel and carbon composite case, the new Hydroscaph H140 Carbon Limited Edition Chronograph marks elapsed time using both centrally-mounted second and minute hands.

Running seconds are presented using a sub register at the 3 o’clock position, while a 24 hour indication is displayed at the 9 o’clock.

The Clerc Hydroscaph H140 Carbon Limited Edition Chronograph is limited to just 140 pieces. During the brand’s 140 years, its watches have found favour with the likes of Salvador Dali, Paco Rabanne, Maurice Chevalier and General de Gaulle.
