Citizen new TV ads launch with double the airtime

Citizen Watch UK will launch a fresh swathe of TV adverts today, building on its previous campaigns, in a bid to be even more impactful than before.

Two new campaigns tailores to its men’s and women’s timepieces will play out 3,200 30 second adverts – more than 24 hours of airtime – over a five week period in the run up to and over Christmas.

The TV adverts will be broadcast on both terrestrial and satellite television channels, with the women’s advert featurig Victoria Azarenka, the world number one tennis player at the ATP Ladies Tennis Tour, and will feature the Ciena Diamond, Steel and Ceramic Diamond Chronograph and Regent Diamond timepieces.

The new gent’s adverts will be more technology focused, explaining the workings behind Citizen’s Eco-Drive, supported by three watches from its Atomic Timekeeping collection, the Red Arrows Skyhawk A.T, World Chronograph A.T and Perpetual Chronograph A.T.

Mark Robinson, brand director for Citizen Watch UK, said: “This is a really exciting time for the brand. In the five week run up to Christmas, which is the busiest time of the year for retailers, it is key that our adverts have such prime time coverage over the main networks, in order to engage consumers and help them make informed choices when considering a luxury purchase as an ideal Christmas Present.”
