Citizen is continuing to extend its portfolio into the affordable luxury space with limited editions, premium materials and high profile collaborations.
Its first watch of 2022 is a perfect example. The Citizen x Nissan Z is an homage to an iconic Japanese speedster, fondly known as the Fairlady Z, and comes with a price tag of over £2,000.
The 42mm chronograph uses high grade titanium for its case and bracelet.
Design elements inspired by the Nissan Z include accents in Ikazuchi yellow, a signature color of the car, on the bezel and crown and a dial designed like the perforated seats of the car.
A second reference uses blue instead of yellow and its dial has a grey textured dial like smooth asphalt on a highway.
Both watches have the Z logo on the dial, a Z mark on the crown, and the Nissan logo on the case back.
Production of the two references is limited to 1,700 worldwide.
They go on sale in March for $2,495 (around £2,150).
