Citizen ambassadors Red Arrows to fly at Olympics

Citizen has announced that its ambassadors – the RAF Red Arrows team – are set to perform a flyover to mark the opening of the 2012 Olympic Games on July 27th, and will also fly over sites including Belfast, Cardiff and Edinburgh.

The team will fly in what is dubbed “Big Battle Formation” during the acrobatic showcase.

Citizen launched a Red Arrows collection in 2011 and has since sold more than 15,000 of its Red Arrows branded watches.

Last year it launched a new addition to the collection, the Red Arrows Skyhawk A.T Titanium which it says “is certainly proving to be popular”.

Mark Robinson, brand director for Citizen Watch UK, said: “We are delighted that it has been confirmed that the RAF Red Arrows will herald the opening of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

“Since its launch last year, we are really please with the way our Red Arrows collection has taken off. From pilot watches to radio controlled Skyhawk watches, there is a good selection to appeal to our market. The design and attention to detail in this watch collection is paramount and the timekeeping is incredibly precise. ”
