CHRONEXT adds finance and compliance expert to its board of directors.

Kristiina Leppänen brings 25 years’ experience of international finance and leadership for companies inside and outside Switzerland.

CHRONEXT’s expansion of its executive and non-executive board of directors and advisors is continuing with news this week that finance and compliance expert, Kristiina Leppänen, is joining the top table.

Today’s announcement complements the recent nominations to the CHRONEXT board of former Facebook CMO, Gary Briggs, and former Tiffany & Co. Chief Brand Officer, Daniella Vitale.

Nobert Platt, a former CEO of Richemont, joined as an advisor to the company in June.

The company also appointed Jacob Fonnesbech Aqraou as chairman earlier this year.

Mr Fonnesbech Aqraou has been a serial investor and advisor in European technology businesses for the past five years following 13 years at eBay, where he rose to become senior vice president for eBay marketplaces in EMEA.

Along with his new role with CHRONEXT, he remains deputy chairman at TeamViewer, chairman of Wallapop, Phase One and Capture One.

CHRONEXT recruited Hamdi Chatti to its board at the beginning of the year.

Mr Chatti is a luxury specialist, having spent over 25 years in leadership positions with Richemont and LVMH brands including Cartier, Piaget and Montblanc, Harry Winston and LVMH Jewellery and Watches.

With over 25 years’ experience of international finance and leadership for companies in and outside Switzerland, Kristiina Leppänen is in an excellent position to help CHRONEXT build out its finance and compliance functions.

Ms Leppänen joins CHRONEXT from her position as Group CFO of Enics, a leading global service provider in electronics manufacturing headquartered in Zurich/Switzerland, where she is responsible for Finance and Controlling, Treasury, Risk Management, Legal Affairs and Corporate Development.

Prior to joining Enic, Kristiina spent over four years in charge of Finance and Investor Relations as Cavotec CFO in Switzerland, and almost 5 years as Group CFO of GS Hydro Group in Finland. She holds an MBA in International Finance from the Helsinki School of Economics

“I am excited to be nominated to CHRONEXT’s board at such an important stage in the company’s development. I know that establishing best-in-class financial reporting capabilities and compliance procedures is challenging for all young, thriving and ambitious companies, especially in Switzerland, and I will be glad to bring my expertise to CHRONEXT and its team,” Ms Leppänen says.
