Christopher Ward works with Blue Marine Foundation to save oceans from over-fishing

The C60 Blue will not only raise money for the foundation, it also contributes to its mission by making its straps from reclaimed and recycled ocean plastic.

Christopher Ward is hoping to raise more than £200,000 for Blue Marine Foundation through sales of a 500-piece limited edition Trident C60 Blue diver’s watch.

Blue Marine Foundation, also known as just Blue, is devoted to restoring the health of the world’s oceans by addressing over-fishing and aims to have 30% of the world’s ocean under effective protection by 2030.

The C60 Blue will not only raise money for the foundation, it also contributes to its mission by making its straps from reclaimed and recycled ocean plastic.

It has a translucent sapphire dial etched with the Blue Marine Foundation’s wave symbol and comes in packaging made from 95% bio-degradable material.

“I live part of the year in a house quite literally by the sea, so I have an affinity with and understanding of what Blue is trying to achieve. Dedicated to restoring the health of the ocean by addressing over-fishing, Blue works tirelessly to ensure the future of our seas. So, when the idea of a watch designed with Blue was suggested, we jumped at the chance. It’s so important for the future of the planet – and everyone at Christopher Ward feels privileged to be able to help in this way,” says Mike France, CEO & co-founder at Christopher Ward.

Charles Clover, executive director of Blue, adds: “In the last ten years, Blue has become a driving force in the mission to create a healthy ocean. As the world moves towards protecting 30 percent of the ocean by 2030, the decade ahead could not be more critical. We are deeply grateful to Christopher Ward for marking our 10th anniversary with this exquisite watch; donations from its sale will help us achieve our mission to restore the ocean to health, starting with a network of marine parks around the British Isles.”

Christopher Ward’s C60 Blue is on sale from today for £895.
