Christopher Ward starts selling Meistersinger watches from its website

Companies will donate 10% of sales to the Red Cross to help them in the battle against Coronavirus.

Necessity is the mother of invention and the Coronavirus pandemic is forcing companies to be more creative than ever.

British watch company Christopher Ward, which sells its watches entirely online to its customers, has teamed up with Germany’s Meistersinger so that its watches can be sold from the same ecommerce store.

Meistersinger has authorised a 35% discount for anybody buying a watch via Christopherward.co.uk and the companies have also agreed to donate 10% of the revenue from sales to the Red Cross to help them in the battle against Coronavirus.

Meistersinger says the partnership is designed to support the Red Cross in the battle against this terrible virus while protecting retailers that are for a large part are also closed at the moment.

The offer is limited only to two lines of Meistersinger watches, Salthora Meta X and Metris, which will be discontinued in the near future, so the partnership will not compete for business with the brand’s authorised dealers.

“When we learned that our friends at Meistersinger had lost all of their retail sales to C-19, we wanted to do what we could to help them. And presenting their wonderful and unique single-handed watches to our customers seemed the obvious thing to do,” explains Christopher Ward CEO and co-founder Mike France.

MeisterSinger founder Manfred Brassler adds: “We at MeisterSinger highly value the long standing relationship we have with Christopher Ward. Especially during these difficult times it is of upmost importance that companies come together to support one another. So we wanted to offer both our customers a unique opportunity to purchase a MeisterSinger single-handed watch at an exclusive price, along with supporting a very good cause – The Red Cross.”
