Christopher Ward has launched the new limited-edition Apex range with the release of C7 Apex.
The new piece has been created to mark five years since Christopher Ward held the first working prototype of its in-house movement, the Calibre SH21.
The launch marks the first of four new Apex models, each celebrating a different aspect of Christopher Ward watchmaking; motoring, divers, dress and aviation.
This motorsport release is a 50-piece limited edition that has been designed with the intention of showcasing more of Calibre SH21 than ever before, via a bold semi-open dial.
Mike France, co-founder at Christopher Ward, said: “In this fifty-piece limited edition, Christopher Ward has achieved its apex; not just the pinnacle of its design and engineering capabilities, but a motorsport watch that leads the competition through genuine innovation and spectacle. There has never been a Christopher Ward watch like this before; and for the fifth anniversary of the prototype of our ground-breaking in-house movement, that’s exactly what Calibre SH21 deserves.”
The C7 Apex Limited Edition is housed within the Rapide collection’s four-piece case design and is constructed from sandblasted and matte finished steel, with a grey diamond-like carbon coated steel band around its centre.
Both the C7 Apex Limited Edition’s hands and a recessed outer ring have been filled with white Super-LumiNova.
The C7 Apex Limited Edition is set to retail at £2,995.
