Christies launches watch blog

Auction house Christie’s has launched a blog dedicated to watches called Longitude.

The blog describes itself as dedicated to “watches of the past, present and future”. Recent posts include missives about a new Perrelet design, watches coming up for auction at Christies and an editorial on the topic of “watch pornography”.

The Longitude blog is edited on behalf of Christies by watch journalist Meehna Goldsmith who has written for The Financial Times, the Robb report, Watch Journal, Chronos and HH Magazine, as well as editing her own site watchmaker.com.

Goldsmith will be working with contributors for the blog and some of those signed up include Revolution Online write Martin Green, 10pastTEN founder Eric Ku, New York photographer Mike Mellia and Elite Traveller writer Kate Winick.
