Chopard makes super slim flying tourbillon watches for ladies

It is two years since Chopard introduced its first in house automatic tourbillon movement, the calibre 96.24-L, in the 2019 L.U.C. Flying T Twin watch.

Now the same movement is being used in ladies watches for the first time in the form of two 25-piece limited editions in rose gold or platinum.

Despite the complexity of the movement, which can be seen from the underside of the watch through an exhibition case back, it is still able to fit into a slim case that is just 7.47mm high and 35mm across, making it among the smallest flying tourbillon watches on the market.

Chopard is not relying on the tourbillon to do the heavy lifting when it comes to desirability for the two watches, the legendary jeweler has also brought its gem setting to the party.

The rose gold piece’s case, bezel, crown and hour markers are all lit up in diamonds.

For the platinum edition, the dial is also fully diamond-encrusted.

The golden watch has a golden micro rotor providing the energy and the platinum piece has its rotor decorated with diamonds.

The COSC-certified watches have 65 hour power reserves and are water resistant to 30 meters.
