Chopard gem setters create diamond Alpine Eagle Frozen watches

If the original steel on steel Alpine Eagle was Chopard’s play for the affordable luxury sports watch market, a new set of diamond encrusted watches speaks more to the jet set of Davos, Aspen or Zermatt.

If the original steel on steel Alpine Eagle was Chopard’s play for the affordable luxury sports watch market, a new set of diamond encrusted watches speaks more to the jet set of Davos, Aspen or Zermatt.

Alpine Eagle Frozen watches are made from ethical 18ct white or rose gold, in 41mm or 36 mm sizes.

The larger case size is used for four references set with white diamonds across their cases, lugs and bracelets; two in white gold, two in rose gold.

There are three choices of bezels, set with diamonds, blue sapphires or a rainbow bezel set with multi-coloured sapphires.

The 41mm models use the Chopard 01.03-C automatic movement with 60 hour power reserve.

Rose gold is the only option for the smaller 36mm versions, again encrusted with white diamonds and with the choice of with or without the rainbow set bezel.

They use the smaller Chopard 09.01-C automatic movement with 42 hour power reserve.

Chopard says the Alpine Eagle Frozen collection’s was inspired by the glaciers, colourful skies and everlasting snows of Alpine peaks.

“Alpine Eagle Frozen is directly inspired by Alpine glaciers and the way they brilliantly reflect the sunshine. Each diamond used on this timepiece sparkles like a snowflake that has settled on the mountain tops,” says Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard.
