Chisholm Hunter to invest £1m in new store concept

Chisholm Hunter has earmarked £1 million to introduce a new branding concept to its stores.

The store upgrade programme is starting in Falkirk with a plan drawn up to revamp the chain’s shop in the city’s Howgate Shopping Centre.

As well as changing the aesthetics of the Falkirk store, Chisholm Hunter will also double the floorspace by expanding into an adjacent retail unit.

A rendering of the new store designed shared with WatchPro shows a swirling design with curved walls, circular display cabinets, branded areas and plenty of seating. The shop appears to have a purple colour scheme.

Chisholm Hunter director Tracey Brown said: “We are all so excited about the new store which will give us lots more space and enrich the brand experience for our Falkirk customers.

"Our Falkirk store was our first store to open outside Glasgow and the second to open in the Group in 1994 [and] it really has been a blueprint for all our other regional stores over the years. We hope to roll the new design out to some of our existing stores and any new ones we open over the next few years."
