Revolution has persuaded 20 watch brands to create unique pieces with a pink twist for an online auction raising money for breast cancer awareness charities.
The Pink Dial Project is a week long charity sale that kicks off on October 25 at Loupe This, a Los Angeles-based startup founded in 2021 by watch collectors and experts, Eric Ku and Justin Gruenberg.
Every dollar raised will go to the Union of International Cancer Control (UICC), to support its global work.
Revolution, founded by Wei Koh, is an online watch store and luxury print and online magazine with editions published around the world.
“We have asked the leaders of our favorite brands to make a single ‘Pink Dial’ prototype watch. We explained that it could be any model in their collection but for us, the more badass the watch, the cooler it would be for it to wear a smoking hot pink dial as a badge of honor to show we are united in this fight against breast cancer,” says Mr Koh.
The 20 watch brands that have made one of one watches for the breast cancer charity auction are Anordain, Ball Watch Company, Baltic Watches, Bamford London, Bulgari, IWC Schaffhausen, Jacques Bianchi, Julie Kraulis, Longines, Maximilian Büsser, Montblanc, Oris, Panerai, Piaget, Rado, Roger Dubuis, Sinn and Tag Heuer.
“There will be some watches that I know will be the subject of some frenzied last-minute bidding, but when you’ve been outbid, you’ll get an email or text message from Loupe This to alert you and give you the opportunity to increase your bid. I’d like to thank Eric Ku and Justin Gruenberg [at Loupe This] for supporting this and for waiving all the fees normally associated with such an online auction,” Mr Koh says.
Pink Dial Project Watches
Airan
The Airain Type 20 was revived in November 2020 with the Airain Type 20 Re-Edition that faithfully matches the design and specifications of the original 1950s Type 20 in every detail, including a hand-wound column wheel chronograph with flyback function and countdown bezel. Its dial, protected by a domed Hesalite crystal, has the same Arabic numerals as the original timepieces, with two registers at 3 and 9 o’clock that can count to 30 minutes. The Type 20 Re-Edition is powered by the caliber AM1, which boasts 60 hours of power reserve and is developed and made by Manufacture La Joux-Perret S.A. in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The Airain Type 20 Pink Ribbon Pièce Unique features a pink dial and unique pink ribbon case back engraving.

Jacques Bianchi
Jacques Bianchi – JB 200 – Pink Edition
Re-edition of the diving watch used by the French Navy. The JB 200 was created in the 1980s by the Master craftsman Jacques Bianchi. It is recognizable by its unique dial which features the silhouette of a diver in action. It is part of the great watchmaking history of “French Skin Divers”. The design of the destro case of the historic JB 200 evokes at first glance that of the diving watches of the 1970s, halfway between the finesse of the “skin divers” of the 1960s and the robustness of the divers of the 1980s. In order to equip the new model with an automatic caliber – necessarily thicker than a quartz movement – the proportions had to be reviewed and improved. The 42 mm off-crown diameter of the case remains unchanged, but a long adjustment process was necessary to preserve the spirit of the historical shapes and the technical requirements imposed by the integration of an automatic movement.
