Cerrato leaves Tudor to take top job at new Montblanc watch division

Former Tudor boss Davide Cerrato has been appointed managing director of Montblanc’s watch division.

Cerrato, Tudor’s former head of marketing, design and product development, will lead Montblanc’s watch operation forward as part of a move that has seen it set up as a ‘separate business unit’. He assumed the role on December 1st.

Montblanc stated in a press release: “We are pleased to announce that Mr Davide Cerrato has decided to join Montblanc as Managing Director Watch Division. Davide is excited to start on December 1st 2015 and to embark on our exciting journey of “Sharing the Passion for Fine Watchmaking”. In his new function Davide will be based at the Montblanc Manufacture in Le Locle, Switzerland.”

Cerrato held various marketing roles within Ferrero and Thomson Multimedia before moving to Italian advertising agency Armando Testa. In 2004 he became global director of communication at Officine Panerai. In 2007 he took the top job at Tudor.

Davide is a proven watch expert. He started his professional career in various marketing functions at Ferrero and Thomson and then worked for an Italian advertising agency. In 2004, Davide entered the watch industry as Global Director of Communications at Officine Panerai. In the past 8 years Davide has been VP Marketing, Design & Product Development at Tudor, overseeing marketing, design and product.
