Casio UK uses social media-style platform to train and talk to its network of retailers

San Fancisco-based Myagi creates an online community that helps Casio and its retailers share news, information and expertise.

Casio UK has partnered with San Francisco-based Myagi to provide training, product updates and merchandising information to its network of retail partners via a private online platform.

With Myagi, which has a Europe Middle East and Africa subsidiary in Birmingham, brands are able to communicate with their entire network of retail partners with sales training, product overviews and promotions.

The platform allows Casio UK to target different content to individual retail partners including images, video and documents to different retailers through a familiar interface similar to social media.

Retailers can also communicate their news and views back up to the brand.

Myagi says F.Hinds, Goldsmiths and three other multi-store chains have already joined the platform. Garmin and Polar also use the platform from the brand side.

“We have a phenomenal relationship with our stores. At Casio, we tend to focus on building that relationship and with Myagi and we’ve seen things grow even stronger,” says Warren Halliwell, National Training Manager for Casio UK and Ireland.

“Right from when we started with Myagi, we were very keen to breach that gap between the brand and the store. At the moment although we have the in-store visits which are really important, we are looking to make our partnerships with our retailers more seamless. With Myagi, we have been able to quite rapidly start to bridge that gap, and they have started to have an influence on what we do on a training level, which is quite empowering for them.”
