Casio slims down Edifice collection with new connected watch

Water resistant up to 100m, its case measures 8.9mm and has a sapphire crystal face.

Casio is expanding its Edifice collection with its latest addition, the super slim EQB1000D-1A.

It has a sleek, slim case design and is equipped with Casio’s Tough Solar Technology and Bluetooth connectivity.

David Johnson, vice president of Casio’s timepiece division, said: “Our latest EDIFICE timepiece is the ideal combination of style, innovation and design.”

Adding: “We know consumers are always on the hunt for a versatile timepiece that is both functional and looks great. The new EQB1000D-1A offers that and more in a slim and stylish package.”

After a full-charge and without further exposure to light, the timepiece has a battery life of approximately five months.

Additional features include water resistance up to 100 meters, a 1/1000th second stopwatch, 200 Lap memory, daily alarm and full auto calendar.

Designed with a super slim case measuring 8.9mm and a sapphire crystal face, the EQB1000D-1A will be available this summer for an RRP of £299.

  1. Why do Casio and others seem to regularly put out watches where the minute hand does not reach the minute markers?? Sometimes by centimetres. It does not help tell accurate time on an analogue watch!
