As summer kicks off, Casio has unveiled a range of G-Shocks fit for the beach.
It is the latest in a big season for G-Shock, with its range of watches continuing to grow.
The Beach Time Lapse collection covers a number of G-Shock models that are unified by a single theme.
The cases are black or white, and the collection covers the DW5600, GA2100 and GA110 models – so O.G. full digital, or a mix of quartz and digital, with the three well-known G-Shock case shapes.
The common theme is the dial, which has a rainbow-like colouring, as G-Shock puts it, the “entire watch face is adorned with a unique vapor deposition process, evoking the serene transition from daytime to evening by the seaside”.
The G-Shock was developed in the 1980s to be a watch that could take any punishment.
It has gone on to be the watch of choice for many armed forces and law enforcement agencies across the world.
But on top of that it has become a canvas for many different styles.
Just recent months have seen Pixar-inspired watches, ninja G-Shocks with throwing star motifs on the dial, and a metal Mr-G that costs several thousand pounds.
The Beach Time Lapse collection is more accessible, with prices starting at £99.90.
