Cartier opens its largest boutique in Harrods

Harrods has reopened Cartier’s boutique in the Fine Jewellery department.

Harrods has worked closely with Cartier and architect, Laura Gonzalez, to re-define the space, which is now twice as large as before the refurbishment.

It sits within an expanded footprint for Harrods Fine Jewellery. The former Luxury Jewellery Room has been re-branded to become a third room of Fine Jewellery.

The Fine Watch Room is also expanding from one floor to two and is getting its own dedicated entrance from the street.

The new Cartier room is all smooth bronze finishes, glass furnishings and wooden accents, set in a neutral surrounding, highlighted with four bespoke and handcrafted decorative walls and a central deconstructed, geometric chandelier.

Four internal salons form part of the main open Cartier Room; two private salons, a prestige area, a feminine area, a diamond area and lastly a masculine area, allowing clients to experience all Cartier realms.

“Cartier and Harrods were both established in the mid-19th century and have flourished over 150 years to become known for their dedication to the quest for beauty, a duty of excellence, the freedom to be oneself, and a legacy to share – this new Harrods room will be historic,” Laurent Feniou, managing director Cartier UK.

“We’re excited to have worked with Cartier on this large scale redevelopment and to have launched their new boutique which, we’re pleased to say, is the largest boutique within our Fine Jewellery Room. The concept is entirely bespoke and exclusive to Harrods, with the addition of two VIP salons and a permanent, highly anticipated, high jewellery collection. We are very excited for our customers to discover the exclusive collection of Cartier creations for Harrods. The boutique provides the perfect environment to showcase Cartier’s exceptional product offering particularly at a time when the brand is attracting such huge demand within our Fine Jewellery Room,” said Helen David, Chief Merchant at Harrods.
